MSAD 68 Budget Validation Referendum Election

Monday, June 29, 2009

 

The MSAD 68 Budget Validation Referendum Election will be held on Monday, June 29, 2009 in the Towns of Charleston, Dover-Foxcroft, Monson and Sebec.  Voting will be done by secret ballot and the following question will be on the ballot:

 

"Shall the Maine School Administrative District No. 68 Budget for the 2009-2010 school year that was adopted at the district budget meeting on June 23, 2009 be approved?"

 

Absentee ballots are available for those who might not be available to vote at the secret ballot election.  Please see below for town office hours, polling locations and where to call for more information regarding absentee ballots and voter registration applications:

Town of Charleston - 285-3637

Town Office Hours:  T-F - 9:00a to 1:30p; W - 4:00p to 7:00p

Polling Location:  Charleston Town Hall

Polling Hours:  10:00a to 8:00p

 

Town of Dover-Foxcroft - 564-3318

 Town Office Hours:  M, TH, F - 7:30a to 4:00p; W - 7:30a to 6:00p

A prospective voter may register on Election Day June 29, 2009 at the polls.  Please bring Two (2) proofs of identity and residency with you.  One proof should be a picture ID.

Per Title 21A, Sec 122-6, all prospective voters must apply in person during the 21 days before an election.  Therefore, after June 8, 2009, no registrations to vote at the June 29, 2009 election will be processed through the mail or through a third party.
